In 1994, Tiffany found herself as a single mother, just 23 years old, with the simple goal of being a great mom and a waitress. Little did she know that her family dentist had a different plan for her. During a routine dental appointment, the dentist recognized her potential and offered her an opportunity that would change her life forever.
She started by assisting with a patient's procedure, not knowing what to expect. To her surprise, she really enjoyed it. She wanted to learn more, do more, and make a difference in patients' lives. Her dentist saw this spark in her and offered her a part-time job, which eventually led her to excel in the front office. Handling patient payments, scheduling appointments, and communicating effectively became her strengths. Over time, she outgrew that role and continued to develop through various positions, honing her skills in practice management.
Her journey in dentistry took her on a path of self-discovery. She briefly left the field to start a successful European body wrapping business, but soon realized that her true passion lay in dentistry. Returning with a renewed sense of purpose, she vowed to lead and inspire others while combating burnout. She found a new office and a supportive team that shared her vision. Together, they implemented streamlined systems and achieved remarkable success.

A life-altering realization emerged when we focused on transforming the hygiene department
Many years ago, she discovered how a thriving hygiene department, a "hygiene practice within a practice," conquers burnout through empowerment, leadership, and control. She and her team had created an environment that was fun, supportive, and motivating. This positive energy spread throughout the entire office, making work enjoyable for everyone involved. Life was good, but she faced a personal challenge — a life-changing divorce.
With two small children and no college degree, she knew she had to shape her future. She went back to college to become a dental hygienist. It was during this time that she truly started to believe in her own greatness. The experience was empowering and transformative, fueling her passion for dentistry and helping her overcome the struggles of being a single mother.
Fast forward to 2012, and she was a practicing hygienist with a love for wearing many hats. Her background in practice management allowed her to build a thriving operation from the back office, using proven systems and skills. Others on the team followed her example, leading to overwhelming success. Soon, other offices sought her advice and guidance, prompting her doctor to encourage her to write a book that could revolutionize hygiene departments across the country.
